I am an animator, 29 years old, always very enthousiastic about making new things that resonate with current world events in a funny way. That is why I created sketchy world, to do this in a fast pace, in a 1 to 2 weeks schedule next to my worklife.

NEW ANIMATION! + Extra Introduction

Posted by flatonarts - 2 days ago

Hello everyone! Welcome to my Sketchy World Channel: https://youtube.com/@sketchyworld-fa?si=7XyKP8TFpdQJ_qEE

Also NEW VIDEO: https://youtu.be/zNdp01Ncywk?si=TEw2tMRwYdxrEs0a

My name is Lucas, and I recently started a YouTube channel featuring animated short films called Sketchy World! I just realized a lot of others use the same name—whoops—but I hope mine stands out. I’m even thinking of changing the name to something like Sketchy Cartoons… still figuring that out.

What’s it about?

I animate caricatures of celebrities in funny (and sometimes weird) situations. Think:

  • Drake being haunted by a Kendrick nightmare
  • Elon Musk trying to give a speech at the presidential inauguration
  • Keanu Reeves being stalked in the subway

I’m inspired by South Park—not just for the absurd humor but also for reflecting on real-life people and events. My goal is to deliver sharp, entertaining stories without being too heavy on insults or taking sides. I want this to be a fun, creative space—for me and for you. I also realized I want to move away a bit from the political stuff I started with... I don't like the negativity that comes with that - or that sides are chosen. So chose to refrain from that and focus more on celebrities and stuff.

I release new animations every 1-2 weeks. It’s a lot of work, which is why I chose a sketchy, chaotic animation style—it gives me more freedom and lets me work faster while keeping the energy loose and playful.

I’d love to hear your thoughts! What works? What doesn’t? And if you enjoy the content, consider subscribing—it means a lot!

Thanks for checking it out! 😊
